I've had a sinus infection for the past several days. Over the sound of blowing my brains out this afternoon, I hear, "I love you." I look over and Clover is staring at me, says it again and begins to serenade me with her little whistling tunes. She's never said it before and, needless to say, that was the best medicine. I think my husband is a bit jealous that mine and Clover's relationship has reached the next level though :D Does anyone else have an accommodating little feathered doctor? I haven't been sick since we've had her and I'm impressed with how well she's doing being "neglected" with less attention than normal.

Oh goodness that is just too sweet. I haven't been sick around my fids yet, but when my anxiety is flaring and I'm more prone to emotional distress, my pionus is always really clingy. As in, biting my shirt and refusing to leave my shoulder. Lol. They definitely tell when something isn't right, and they sure try their hardest to make it better. And it works. :)

Usually, I get no sympathy at all from Ralph when I'm not feeling well. If I have a cold and am coughing, he encourages me to cough even more. :D But when I had a pinched nerve in my back last fall, and could barely move from my chair, Ralph did look at me with a concerned expression-- but he still demanded his full share of attention. :)

How lucky you had nurse Clover to make you feel better:) And yes, they totally can tell when we are sick/not feeling well. Many react by doing all kinds of extra nice things they normally wouldn't.

They absolutely know when we are either sick, or just too stressed to do the normal routine... And, more often than not, they not only find ways to self entertain just fine, - they go out of their way to do things to make us feel better.
