Congo African Grey (Banjo)
Yellow Naped Amazon (Aurora)
B & G Macaw ( Marley )
Scarlet Macaw ( Phoenix )
It's been awhile since I have last been on the forum. Last time I was on we had just gotten our boy Banjo (African Grey), Well Banjo and I have had some great progress with each other! He steps up for me and we have great cuddle time with each other!!!!. pretty good for a mean old african grey!! LOL.

Steve and I went to our local Animal Shelter, and what do you know they had a Scarlet Macaw and a B & G Macaw, also a Yellow Naped Amazon. We just went for 1 bird and came home with all 3, thanks to the Staff at the shelter, begging us and offering us a deal we couldn't refuse!! Only had to give $ 200.00 total for all 3 Birds! The Birds had been together in their previous home,Which was with a Hoarder couple. Birds were seized by the State for their protection.

The Scarlet Macaw has a crooked beak but is in good feather, and Loving and Cuddly. His name is ( Phoenix ). Phoenix.jpg

B & G is in good feather, In need of a beak trim and has a little bit of attitude, but should settle in nicely! B & G name ( Merlin )Merlin.jpg

The yellow Nape plucked her self naked, but now is growing back all of her feathers. And she should turn back into full feather :). And this sweetheart is named ( Aurora )Aurora.jpg

All the Birds talk up a storm, Aurora seems to out talk them all though LOL even whistles Dixie!!!!!!! So in total our flock is now at 5.

WOW that's awesome !!! Congrats [nice well rounded flock]

Oh my gosh! That is my dream! :D Congrats! They will now have a great home! :)

Congratulations on your new additions! I am so glad you brought them all home so they can stay together:) Please keep posting updates and pics!

What a wonderful thing to do! They are all beautiful, so glad you kept them together. Thank you for giving three birds a chance for a happy future.

Animal shelters really aren't set up to deal with parrots. And let's face it you can't give a pair of big macs, especially an attitudinous one to just anyone...

They were lucky you came along. And so were you...

WOW! Congrats on the new additions! Thats a whole lot of parrots to take in at once. How long have you had them now?

So glad you've kept the "3 amigos" together (when I saw their pics, childhood memories flooded back as they really bear a striking resemblance):

Yep you'll be able to hear them from I10 when you pass by!! LOL, By the way the Goffin is still the loudest!!!!!!

We'll have to see about that after that Scarlet feels comfortable and start "staking" out his territory,LOL.

All you need now is a sun conure to get them started.:54: Wow what a cool flock you have now.

Well, We were thinking of a breeding pair of suns and a high end ampilfier. Let the neighborhood share the joy! lol

Just a little update:

The amazon sings opera and is bi-lingual, english and spanish.

The B&G cusses like a sailor and love to play peek-a-boo

The Scarlet is still the quiet one but is well settled and happy.

Our goffin is still by far the loudest and the trouble maker that stirs the pot and winds everyone up.

That's awesome! It's nice to see that they will all be together, too!

I am a sucker for Amazons.... Aurora's face in that photo... my gosh, I would not have been able to leave without her, either!
