Fargo- Blue and Gold Macaw
Soooo i ordered more things for Fargo, because he is just very unloved and doesn't have anything hahahahaha

In my defense, it will be our one year anniversary this weekend, so he can have an early present!

Fargo has lots of wood and acrylic toys, and ropes and bright colours everywhere, so this time did a big order of natural stuff!!!

I got a mixed bag of natural pods and nuts so i could restring his natural ladder that he destroyed, and then a 170cm natural bridge type thing, a double swing, and the planet pleasure climbing net!

Well he absolutely LOVES everything, he sat on the bridge all afternoon making his happy sound, climbing on his net.. He really loved it all!

Firstly!!! The little monster, i forgot to give him his treats this morning, just a dried fruity mix he gets after breakfast, so he decided to have a little tantrum, and climb next to the book shelf, and chuck out books, and his pellets, and then got the treat container and waited for me to open it! It is like living with a 2 year old

He had to have a shower

and then i dont think i have ever seen such a sad pathetic look before hahaha

Slowly drying, looking pretty

Then his stuff arrived

As soon as i hung it up, he ran to it

and climbed up

This photo, i love his face, he looks like a little kid at christmas... With a huge shocked smile saying- IS THIS FOR ME?!

So restrung the ladder, theres his java perch, then the long bridge connects from his cage to the other side of the window!

Flapping on his bridge

Chewing the pods

This one was stuck on his tongue, they are sticky hahaha

Viciously attacking the poor pod

His double swing, but i have no where to hang it up, i was going to hang it above his cage, but its too big! So have to get a hook for the roof, and then hang it up above his net!
But he loves it, i held it up and he flew to it and sat on it haha

and enjoying one of his foot toys!

So Fargo had a nice day, got to do a lot of destroying, what more could a bird ask for right?!

anddddd, here is a long movie of Fargo just having a shower... It isnt that interesting haha

But he goes through stages in the shower, he will sit there, not doing anything, and just talk..
and then after a few minutes he starts to flap, and talk a little!
Then after that he just flaps :p

I usually get water in my hands, and help get water on him and on his belly, which you can see what i was doing in the movie, but i cant do it with one hand hahahaha

You can see he enjoys saying hello hehe but he does it in different pitches, so its cute..

When hes had enough he just flies out and lands on me, so he only showers as long as he wants haha

Hahaha i am glad you find it funny, i will just get you to come clean it up next time he decides to re-arrange the bookshelf ;)

Thank you! :)

Brilliant pics. I love seeing Fargo. He is one very lucky bird.

How did I miss this earlier? I must have still had "sandman" in my eyes or something.... :54:

I LOVE his new toys, Tab!!! GREAT pictures, all of them! And I will make Niko & Ripley watch the showering video with me so they can hopefully learn to open their wings on their own when they are in the shower. ;) I swear, mine just sit on the perch like a wooden log, don't move an inch. Luckily they allow me to open their wings for them so I can scrub their armpits. :D

I LOVE those pod things!!! The swing made with natural stuff? As well as the bridge! Where did you get those? Of course I'm sure it's from Australia, but is there some here in the USA? I really like it!

Does Fargo like warm showers??!!! ( I see steam?). All of mine only enjoy COLD water. And the colder the better!

love that!!, gosh the both of you are so funny together

I LOVE that colourful pod toy thing....where did you buy that? my birds would love it.

Fargo is one lucky dude :)

He's such a neglected bird LOL

In Australia do you call pine cones pods?

HAHA ;)

Noo we just call them pine cones, but then there were banksia and gum nuts and some other ones which i dont know, so we just call them a bag of mixed nuts and pods? :09: I dont know hahaha

Hahaha excuses excuses :09:

HAHA!!! They are lazy and just want you to clean them ;) I wish the shower perches were longer though, cause he cant open both his wings..

Hopefully now its coming into spring and summer, will be able to take him outside and hose him in the hot weather, then he can have a big flapping, talking session!

Yes the swing is all natural as well! :)

Well its from an online shop in Brisbane, just on facebook, but she custom makes all the bird toys, and sells other toys as well, which are so cheap!

I would assume you could get things like that in USA?
Surely there would be some shops that make natural toys !

Nooo!!! The shower wasn't steaming at all hahaha The camera just got water on it from the spray so it made it all look foggy :09:

He doesn't like it cold, just a little bit warm

Thanks everyone!! :D I am glad he likes everything, he usually says hello to me when i wake up, and flies over, but i have been up for over an hour and he is still playing on everything, chewing away! hahaha

I love spoiling him, although i think its time to buy myself something HAHA
The past year all my money has been spent on him ;)

For everyone interested, this is what was said in one of the emails about the different
natural parts

The natural pods can do: Casuarina, Gumnuts, paperbark/teatree/bottlebrush/eucalypt branch pieces both in ‘biscuits’ and ‘lengths’.

Banksias in different forms: Coastal (integrefolia) banksia in both green/fresh and dry/open (much harder for chewing) as well as the another species (ericifolia) that have hard, dry seed pods that stay closed with seeds inside – really good chewing!

those toys are amazing!! love the pinecones and hilarious that he threw your books in protest lol! :)

the toy with all the rings and rope....guess what I found today, I actually stumbled across it at a pet store today.
As soon as I saw it I thought "hey, that's what Tab has for Fargo!" I got excited until I saw the price :( $54.00 CDN.
there were smaller ones too but still over $40.00, so I had to walk away, boo hoo:rolleyes:
