I plan on ordering some bands from L&M in a few days and I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it usually takes to receive the bands. I plan on ordering by phone, I know the company is in california, and we are in pennsylvania, I've looked on their website and I can't seem to find an answer. I've tried calling them and I keep getting a busy signal so I figured I would just ask here until I can actually get through to someone.

I'm guessing they keep a certain number in stock, so it would just be a matter of shipping them to you. Usually when I buy something from the west coast I have it within 6 days, and I do a lot of internet shopping. Merlin's cage took 3 days to go from TX to OH if that helps any.

That makes me feel a bit better. I put off ordering any because my pair that has a nest box hasn't been showing much interest in it but they were breeding yesterday and the female has been in the box now for the past two days so I expect her to lay any time now. I figure If she lays within the next week, it takes about 18 days for the first egg to hatch and they need banded around 5 days old, that gives me about a months time to get them. I remember ordering things years ago and it always took like 4-6 weeks to get the item, but then again, I may have been mailing in the order form, I can't remember. As long as it takes less than 3 weeks I'll be happy lol.

This is super vague, but we ordered like 2000 custom bands and I'm pretty sure they came in in under a month. These weren't parrot bands (they're open, for zebra finches), but I'm pretty sure the company also does parrot bands (because I once had the glorious task of cutting open and reshaping parrot bands to band adult starlings...), so it's probably not much different.

I order from AFA and they seem to come pretty quick, they aren't custom numbers or letters, just take what they send.BTW i usually don't band until day ten on amazons and sometimes they will still fall off, have to dig though the nest box to find them, not fun with an angry hen.

Thanks for the help, I've been talking to a few people that order from L&M and from what I'm hearing it usually only takes about a week unless they are back ordered. I've heard really good things about this company and I really like that you get customized bands.

@Henpecked, these bands are actually for budgies, that's why I said about 5 days :)
