Hello all!

So, my husband is adamant on getting Bianca an aviary, as apposed to a regular large cage, for our home.

Do any of you have feedback or opinions on this model?

I will put the link in a separate post.

That looks good & cheap.

I've been pricing outdoor avairies for 2 years now. And especially now since Levi is fully flighted. I don't have him outside as much as I did when he was clipped.

I think we’re just going to give this one a try...

Hey----just contact the company and make sure that he metal and any powder coating is free of zinc, lead, or copper. I didn't look at the cage, but many cages (depending on where they are manufactured) do contain unsafe metals.

Wow, those are about 400 Euro overhere, so not bad a deal!
No idea if they are safe (metalwise and in the little sharp corners).

Not to burst any hopes and dreams but it almost sounds too cheap to be a real deal.
I would be leery of coatings, sharp edges, poor welds that are not clean and contain harmful residues.
Honestly, I don't think I could buy 1/3 the metal to make it myself for that price.

If you decide to go with it, please inspect every inch after it is up and check for anything that could possible injure your feathered family members.
If it does work out to be a really nice product for that price, please let us know.

Hold off!
"As of September 2018, the picture for this product is inaccurate. The pictures show a fine diamond mesh. Small enough to keep small birds in.
The actual product has large squares, maybe 2-2.5". Which will not hold even midsized birds."
Per review!

Also, I am concerned a strong beak will destroy the aluminum mesh!

An update is coming soon! The aviary we originally purchased (the one linked above) was complete crap so we got a full refund and moved on to another one. It was a bit more expensive but if the reviews are accurate it should be good. We got it from Amazon and will paste a link to it in another post. It should be here on Tuesday and I’m hoping it won’t be too hard to assemble.

Oh bugger...another dud fur you guys...

no wonder it is so hard to get the parrots a reasonably large cage-
some days it seems it is easier to get into outher space!

What was wrong with the last one?

Keeping fingers and toes crossed tuesday will be a great one!
(third time is a charm :41: etc.?)

That is the risk of mail order products, but one can't very easily view indoor aviaries in a store! Good luck with the next one!

I am happy to report that the aviary is great! 500 dollars well spent. Bianca seems to enjoy having a little studio apartment all to herself. Success!

:jumping40 glad this one is not an immediate disappointment to you :)

That does look like its a great deal for $509 with free shipping as seen some similar with even 3mm bar thickness for $1700 from brand names companies. Can you measure out the bar spacing just curious? I won't be surprised if the bigger manufacturers just re-badge and sell at a higher price? :D
