Ontario Avian Specialist/Centers Experiences

I'm a first year veterinary student at Ontario Veterinary College (our class crest is an Ivory Owl!!) and am interested in working with an avian specialist or at an avian center.

I've been looking around and am working on getting in touch with a couple places but I was wondering about your (Canadian or any near by states, NY, OH, MI) experiences or opportunities you may know about! Do share as any bit of information about this select field (exotic/avian medicine) is extremely valuable!!

Check out Wild Ontario - bird of prey educational program where many of the volunteers are students here.

Also, I know of many (avian) vets in the area... If you are looking for a volunteer position it'd be best to call them - spots fill up very quickly as it is competitive! Let me know if you want contact info.
