Monday was really nice here, (Chicago). It got up to 78 degrees and sunny. So I took advantage of the weather, and lugged the bird cages outside for a more "deep" cleaning.

Of course, had to take a few photos of the birds, too. :) Love the way the afternoon sunlight makes their feathers look even more colorful. I am going to miss these days!!

Gorgeous photos, thanks for sharing them. Mopar and Maverick look like they are enjoying the rays.

Thanks!

I've already been going through that yearly phase of depression with the falling temps and lack of daylight. Heck, it snowed on Halloween! Doesn't seem to affect the birds that much, which is good. I need to take some notes from them. :)

Awesome pictures; never have seen a Hawkhead Parrot, but the name is apt.

Come to Southern California; we're expecting temps in the mid-to-high 80s along the coast by mid-week!! Just stick your birds in a carrier and prepare for a 4 /2 hour flight!!

YOur pictures are gorgeous! It was SOOO WARM! I went to a 3 hour walk with my cockatiel to the State Beach Park to see all the storm damage. :)

Wow, what a great tiel photo, too! What is your cutie's name?

We had snow, and then sleet and gale force winds - no one wanted to be outside yesterday hereabouts!

Yeah, that storm was something else!!

What part of soco scott. Have family near vista.

Oceanside, just a few miles from Vista! I lived in Vista between 1984 and 1992 and knew a fair number of fellow bird enthusiasts. Was a member of North County Aviculturists but haven't had an affiliation for many years.

Just because I don't know what thread to put this photo in... so it'll go here. Got a photo of the two of them together. :)

Hello, Don,t let the cooler dreary weather stop you from taking the birds out under close supervision. For the last 10 tears I have taken Luna out almost daily. She does not potty in her cage so I take her out every morning. When the weather is around 0 f I have to have her butt pointed in the right direction when I open the door. Later in the day we go for a drive and coffee some place she can troll for attention. I am often ask "isn,t it too cold for her ?". NO she is aclimatized to

indoor temperatures in Canada. I only keep her out as long as I do in only shirt sleeves. I will try to attach a newspaper photo that was picked up by 15 news papers. There are two things that are not normal, I had put a bird shirt over a good shirt I had not wanted to chage for our expected short dash. The second we do not stand in snow storm unles aked by the photographer. I am cirtain from observation and the fact she askes if we are later than usual going.
