So I have noticed that Ollie won't step up or give kisses for any new person since he was about a year old now. The people he'll step up for are myself, my husband and our babysitters ONLY. If anyone else so much as walks too close to him he'll try to bite them immediately even if he's on my shoulder. He also used to give kisses freely to any Tom, Dick or Harry but now he'll just try to bite anyone who isn't the 3 pre-approved flock members right in the face or at least give it his best shot. My husband found that out the hard way when he tried to have Ollie give my mother-in-law a kiss lol! Luckily the bite wasn't hard and connected to the ear not face. Ollie also has clear boundaries with each flock member. Ollie will accept a kisses from my son Toby but will bite or yell at him if Toby tries to have him step up or touch him. My babysitter can get him to step up and he'll hang out on her shoulder and play with her hair but she can't touch him muvh beyond that or he screams at her and gives her a light warning bite. My husband can have him step up and Ollie with preen his face and he can give him some tickles for a minutes only on the head but if he tries chest he gets a light bite and a warning screech. He obviously steps up for me and will cuddle and get chest, neck, head and foot tickles for hours and will let me touch him anywhere and I can file his nails and do anything to him and he will never biten or yell at me. Do you guys have some kind of flock pecking order too? Was there an age your feather babies stopped accepting anyone else picking them up or touching them? Just curious!
