Sure she has her little quirks (like the whole "don't pet me or i'll rip your finger off" additude) but little moments like now are so precious. She is cuddled on right next to my neck sleeping away. If I move my neck in the littlest way so she isn't smashed in as tight as possible she wakes up just a little to readjust so she is right up next to me again. It's so sweet I love it. Lots of times she acts like she would much rather just be left alone in her cage but than there are times like this I think she is really happy to be around people and any doubt I ever have about getting a bird(because honestly sometimes I have those fleeting "oh my god what was I thinking getting a bird" thoughts) completely disapears.

Those moments are just the best. I sometimes get irritated with Merlin when my fingers have been shredded or my nice new outfit has just been crapped on, or he knocks my food off my plate. yknow, bird stuff. but then in the evening he'll cuddle me and my other half and the annoyances just melt. He'll purr and be so sweet, makes it all okay.

Glad you're having snuggles with JJ, it's one of those bits of happiness that only parronts can understand.

She seems to be doing better everyday. Sure she still has a ton of cranky moments but I noticed she is letting me pet her more and more often and she is wanting me to take her out more often. So i take it as she is bonding. And she is nuts over my husband, which sucks because he isn't an animal person but he tolerates her. Which is probably why she loves him because she knows he thinks it's obnoxious!

I love when I reach up to give Con a scratch on the neck and she tucks her head into my palm and chatters softly. It's like she's saying: "Mama, I love you. You give better scritches than Grandpa." My heart just melts and I know she knows it too lol
