The bird store owner raises lots and lots of birds, and I really enjoy going in there to play with them. He has a pair of breeding eclectus' that are so so so so beautiful, but are not tame. I love the way they look, their eyes are so cute and their feathers look more like hair. And that beautiful beak!! so cute.
Well I asked him today where the female was and she is in the box with her new eggs!
oh dear.....
I just got Clifford. Why couldn't they wait a little bit longer to have babies so I would be more prepared? It is really hard for me to say "yes, I want one" because I am still not a pro with the birds I have, but at the same time I feel I have made TONS of progress with Clifford. It will be a WHILE before I could take one home and I could pay a deposit and if it doesn't work out he will give it back to me no questions asked.
But I think I better wait for a while, I may never be the perfect parront, but before I bite off a big responsibility like that I should make sure I can handle it, and be the best parront I can be.
What's your opinion? I haven't done much research on eclectus' because until he told me there were going to be babies I never thought of getting another bird.
This love for birds is like being addicted to drugs....gosh
