Oh Mishka !!!!!! Mommy was busy

Saturday I spent the entire day re-arranging my office .... making it into a study for my son Steven.

It took me 6 hours all in all, carrying heavy equipment down to the garage. Unfortunately there was no one to assist me Steven was working (lucky yeah)

Mishka spent the day in his cage, hardly speaking at all.
I did chat to him often explaining I had work to do.
Sat with him for 30 minutes, giving him treats and playing with him.

When I finally finished, our caretaker came to have a look, she loved it.

Mishka was in his cage, we heard him beginning to talk...... :22:

He kept repeating Mommy I am sorry, sorry mommy in the sweetest cutest voice ever.

We then began thinking what was he sorry for ...................

OMG

He obviously thought he had done something wrong, and I was ignoring and punishing him.

I sat with him for 2 hours on my lap, explaining I was busy. Telling him how much I loved him. He began kissing me ..... like he finally understood that I was not ignoring him.

Our birds are definitely more human than what we think !!!!!

Awe, this breaks my heart! Ive often thought we shouldnt use the cage as punishment. Sometimes Mango has to spend time in there if we are up to something that wouldnt be safe for him. Poor Mishka!

Aww, Mishka is always a special birdie! What a cute story! Feels sorry that Mishka was feeling lonely. When Ozzie wants me to go to him, he just says hello in a ground shaking voice! Lol!

Mishka spends most of his time in his cage, but when I am home he is mostly out.
I guess he finally understood I was busy AFTER I explained it to him

I always feel bad when I have things to do, not including Mishka.
