Dizzy keeps making a funny chirp and flicking her wings. Her pupils also go really small. Is this typical ??

My mommoms' Amazon Benny does this when he is in the mood... Except he makes a bit different sound

The sounds do vary quite a lot, seems to have been stroppy for a few days now....I wondered if it was an age thing (1yr) but maybe she's just well have a strop...lol

Ya, all Amazons do it.. Your parrot flew to another perch and that is due to anxousness. Nothing unusual. Now seeing a parrot spead its wings to look bigger, fan its tail, ruffle feathers, and eyes get real big-- this is a sign of a mood. This is when they bite usually. But they have simular moods that they ruffle feathers too. Like when excited. When excited you might be petting the wings and they ruffle feathers to show they enjoy it.
