So, Rico is claustrophobic. Very claustrophobic actually. But, ever since I put cornbread cricket into her temporary cage, he has gotten… weird. Whenever her cage is vacant and she’s out on the play stand, he goes into her cage for some reason. I have a few ideas on why he does this but no clear answer. He goes in there, walks all over the bottom, and makes like, quiet chirps and peekaboos? He also taps the plastic base with his beak. He does this as well with his flight cage when I remove the grate. He also becomes territorial over it and if I tell him no and to get out of her cage, he screams angrily and gets mad. I can remove him from her cage but not when he is on her cage without getting bitten.
I think he remembers being in this cage for a few months when his leg broke and he is strangely attached to it
He sees it as a nesting spot
Or he just likes it for some reason
What do you guys think?
