Sun Conure (Dunkin)
grey cockatiel (Nalo)
I had some rather strange behavior from my Sun Conure today. I had the birds out and I needed to trim my finger nails. So I grabbed the nail clippers and just as I tried to open them up my Sun Conure reached over and attacked the nail clippers. I waited a bit until he was further away figuring that maybe it was just that they were right next to him the first time. But again he came down from where he was perched on my knee and attacked the clippers again.

I have no idea why he hates the nail clippers. I hardly ever use them when the birds are out. And the few times I have in the past he seemed to really like the clipping noise.

Any ideas why he would just suddenly hate them? :orange:

My birds hate them cause they know what they're for and some of them just go after them because they're shiny.

Charlie hates shiny things, too! When he attacks something, sometimes he'll put a toe in his mouth then try and stomp down with said foot...

Jayde on the other hand runs away from anything electronic.

THOSE SHINEY THINGS BITE!

LOOK, IT BIT MOM'S FINGER...

I'm gonna teach that thing a lesson!!!
