October 2019 POTM Contest!!!

This month's theme is Wings of an Angel!

This month let's celebrate those winged angels in our lives! They touch our hearts in so many ways, and the beauty of those wings, in motion or on display, takes our breath away!

Please submit a photo or short video (90 sec limit) of your bird showing off those beautiful wings, whether in flight or simply in prideful display. No Photoshop this time around, please.

No more than one entry per member, though you are free to post as many related "just for fun" photos as you'd like.

The winner will receive a Free One Year Premium Membership to Parrot Forums, and the winning photo will be displayed on the Home Page for the following month!

Submissions will be accepted from today, October 1st through the morning of Tuesday, October 29th. At the conclusion of the submission period, a 3 day poll will be held to determine the winner.

Thanks, brother! I love giving them a chance to shine! I love those birds! I wish I had a wings pic of my cockatiel, Suzie, as well. But I was never able to capture him showing off his wings.

Stephen, I love this theme! This is going to be another epic month, I feel it! I'm so excited to see pictures of wings, and all the hidden colours & patterns we often don't see.

I loved every single one of your examples, but of course this one stole my heart, once again. It's one of my favourites of dear Bixby.

Thanks, sweetheart! My poor Bixby was only 3 or 4 months old in this pic. We had no idea of the sickness he was born with at the time, so we were just so happy! He stole our hearts in very short order.

Oh man, this is going to be a difficult one for me, I have two birds that I took home strictly because of the beauty in their wings! The friendly nature of the same two helped out sure, but they would have came home even if they were attack vultures!

Well I took a short video I find very cute as normally Jacob shows his wings when saying "show me your wings" but when my husbands says "show me your dukes" he knows to show his wings. I don't know whether the picture or the video is better but I take so many videos of Jacob I think I will switch my official entry to this video instead.
