Here's a turn I never expected. Parkers definitely been feeling amorous lately and the object that really gets him going is a fleece blanket! He'll bundle it up like he's nesting, and stand over it with his wings spread a bit, shoulders dropped down. Clearly enjoying himself. Forget dark corners, he'll take a fleece nest any day!

Try to pick him up at this point and and he'll nail ya good. I guess to each his own.

I am, however, one who likes to bury himself in fleece during the winter. So he and I are gonna have to come to an accord here.

I guess you'll need to get Parker a fleecy of his own, so he doesn't try to birdhump you when you're buried in yours :54:

If only it were me! No, he's obsessed with my partner. I'm just the cage cleaner and food provider who deserves a bite every now and then to remind me of my place in the pecking order.

You and I are in the same ekkie pekking order lately. Dexter tried to fly from my shoulder to the top of his cage and missed badly, when I reached out to try and catch him (pure instinct) he latched onto my pinky so hard that he cut my skin with the sides of his upper beak. Every other time I as much as looked at him today he's tried to charge and honk at me. Little sh!t.

Here here sister.

I'm telling you, get a thick fleece glove. I've learned that Parker respects that I don't back down, and the glove allows me to absorb almost any bite he throws without pain.

Woody had a fleece blanket that he used to drag around the house. It was a tug of war toy. It was a curl up on blanket. It was a peek e boo toy. There were times he waddled around the house dragging it behind him like Linus...

AND IT WAS MINE! He was very protective of his blanket.

LOL! First you flip flops and now your blanket. You own nothing in your house!

Woody is in a sanctuary in Washington State.

And actually, He had his own blanket... It was one of his prized possessions.

He didn't take mine. He had his own. And at least he left my flip flops alone.

My Ekki likes to ring his stainless steel bell while humping his rope perch. He does this several times each day, and always gives himself away every time we hear that darn bell ring!

Mark that's adorable...and somehow heartbreaking.

Greytness, funny you mention the bell! Parker has been doing this odd thing lately where he grabs his bell with on foot and from behind looks like he's humping it. Couldn't understand what was going on since the bells too high to hump. I JUST figured out last night he's holding the bell for some reason and proceeds humping his perch!

Guess he likes some slight restrain? :54:

Let me tell you, he's always daydreamy and lazy for 20 minutes after.

This behavior must be an Ekki thing. Bells + perches=love.

No kidding. Every time I hear his bell now, I think I blush a little.
