Can our Timneh have these? Gracie will probably just shell them. Walnuts should I crack the shell for her?

Depends on Gracie's motivation! Walnuts may be too large, so I split them in half and let my medium-sized parrots attack them.

Some of mine will crack almonds, others are too lazy!
 
Buzz is a CAG and busts walnuts like nothing, then eats them slowly enjoying every bite. I was worried they would be to big but not for him. I don't know how much bigger he is from a TAG though. Cracking wouldn't hurt either.

Be careful with chestnuts! I found mold in the batch my family bought and was about to cook for thanksgiving yesterday (and to give to Loco), but we ended up having to return them. Its a common issue with them (mold/fungus).

Same with SLACKER Rickeybird, or maybe he just can't figure it out, like other foraging toys. He'll give it a few seconds of fury and then tosses or head butts them away.
