well over the past wk i have tried a different tactic with the nut! and so far seems to be working!

i am simply caging her more, her out time is around 2/3 hours a day

she is stepping up or backing away, no more lunging bites

she showers with us every day

happy to go into her cage etc, she does not like it much, but will go in for food etc, where before hand she waited for us to eat

down side is, she seems more distant with me and screams if we go to another room. but she is more managable now

anyway today we had a BBQ, lots of ppl over, so as per normal we took her cage out side, she spent a good part of the day caged, so after we let her out, i took her to the shower, let her spend time with my man lol an she was fine and it was really late! about 2hours after her normal bed time

so fingers crossed, as i was really worried it might send her other way an make her more aggressive

I'm so happy for you. It hurts when they are mean to us. Literally!! lol Good job on figuring her out. I've started a away from mommy cage time also. I'm afraid when I go back to work he will have problems. We had a great day outside, weather was wonderful & low humidity.

so am i, i was gettin worried for the out come if her aggression escalated

so still fingers crossed, but one thing i have noticed is she sleeps less during the day when she is in her cage?? as when she is out she'd sleep on the curtain rail for the most part of the mornin! now she has a nap when she gets out mid afternoon?? so perhaps this caging is makin her sleep better at night??

but over all no more angry nut! just a dis content one :(
i am seriously considering another bird, different species, so will see what rescues there are
