November 2020 POTM Contest!​

The theme for this month is a simple one...​

KINDNESS!!!​

Let's face it. 2020 hasn't been kind to any of us. Covid-19 has affected almost everyone in some way, and many of us have gotten grumpy from all the restrictions, cancellations and quarantines.
November 13th brings us WORLD KINDNESS DAY, which marks the beginning of World Kindness Week! ​

Here's our chance to spread a little feathery kindness across the globe, Parrot Forums Style!

Do your fids do something sweet or kind that makes you feel special? Maybe you have a favorite food, treat, or toy that you give them, so they know how much they're loved. Perhaps it's just that special look they give you that melts your heart and says "everything is okay"...

The possibilities are only limited by your own imagination... Show us what you got! Show us the LOVE!!!

"I got you Dad, I'll be right here if you need me... ZZZZzzzzzz"

Only one "OFFICIAL" entry per member, but you may submit as many "Just for Fun" entries as you like.
Pictures only this time, and photoshop is allowed, but not required.

The winner will receive a free, one year Premium membership to Parrot Forums, and the winning photo will be displayed on the forum Home Page for the following month.

Entries are accepted from today, November 1 through November 28. When the submission period is closed, a poll will be open the following 3 days to determine the winner.
Winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 1.

When it comes to kindness, the very first dog that comes to mind is dear, sweet Maddie whom we watch a couple times a year on average. She has the biggest heart. And when she smiles, like this, you feel so special.

Aww, what a cutie! Thanks for sharing that Chris. I've had 6 dalmatians over the years, and 3 of them were smilers. My biggest male, Jayson, looked so ferocious when he smiled if you didn't pay attention to the happy, full body wag!

Wait...does this dog smile like this when really happy too?!?!? I thought my parents' dog was a weirdo (she is...) BUT she does this weird "smile" when happy (and it's 500% not aggressive lol!)

My mom hand feeding one of three baby Goffins rejected by parents at young age. She kindly fed round the clock at this stage, received permission to bring them to work!

Goodness, they're so cute and helpless at that age. Little naked dino. Your mom sounds like a pretty amazing lady!

Quite amazing, she raised three abandoned Goffins from separate clutches over a four year period. Honorable mention for kindness to her boss for welcoming them to the workplace for copious day-feedings.

Jon, what an amazing theme for the month! 2nd month in a row with a mod doing the POTM for the first time, and like Martina before you, you're off to an incredible start!

Official entry:

Fernando bird giving his momma some loving (he's supposed to be MY bird, but I don't think he got the memo).
*I don't know why the image is rotated like that. Maybe one of the mods can fix?*

Some back story regarding Birdnando: Fernando was raised by a woman who loved all animals dearly. A chef married the woman, and her birds as well. Unfortunately, the woman died after battling an illness for years, and Fernando went into a deep depression. He refused to talk and would not leave his cage. The chef, realizing he could no longer take care of his wife's birds, surrendered them to a shelter. Fastforward a couple years, and I start to volunteer at this shelter. My family falls in love with Fernando and we begin to foster him. We can't get him to stop talking! It turns out, my mom resembles his previous owner. On September 26th, we adopted Fernando and we haven't regretted it.
