So yesterday oscar tried to fly but since his wings are clipped he can't. He didn't seem hurt. Since then he's only come out once. I was surprised he got on my husbands arm with a coat on of course. That was last night. He sits on his perch in one spot for awhile. Its near his water dish. I've seen him eat a couple times. He's been quiet but he's not a super noisy bird anyway. He sits on 1 foot sometimes. He was sleeping earlier but my other noisy animals woke him up. Could something be wrong with him?

What happened, when he tried to fly... Did he drop like a rock or did he glide to the floor? Maybe he got a bit of a fright, and that's why he's quiet.

You have also only had him for a few days, and he's still getting used to his new environment... He'll start getting into mischief soon enough

Sitting with one foot tucked up is normal for parrots... relaxed...

See how he goes! If you find he is still the same tomorrow, then take him to the Vet just to be sure.

He clung to a table and then dropped to the floor. Its funny because my husband comes home opens his door and comes out. He wouldn't do that for me. He got right on his arm after talking to him a bit. I couldn't get him to do anything except eat a peanut. The side of the perch i think he likes because its darker and theres grit. His previous owner was a male so he may just favor my husband.
