Noisy cockatoos??

In terms of song, the smaller toos are like feeding metal into a band saw and the larger ones somewhat more akin to a tyrannosaur with a toothache. Either way, it's not the prettiest of noises.

OMG this made me laugh!!! But so accurate! I have a "small cockatoo" and that is about the best description of his call !!!

All cockatoos are loud and they seem to enjoy the sound of their voice.

When I beg Rocky (in a whisper, which experts say will work and doesn't work at ALL) to stop screaming, he will look at me as if I've lost my mind. "But surely you enjoy having your eardrums blown by my lovely voice!" he will say (non-verbally).

I have yet to meet a quiet Too. But they are AMAZING birds. I don't know of another species that displayed so much character, and from my experience they tend to bond very closely with one person. I have never owned a too, so don't take to heart as there are those on this forum with 'live in' experience. Not entirely sure my life at this time could handle such a vocally expressive bird.
