Sadily After careful deliberation I have desided againts getting a bird, home life is becoming more and more unstable and unsuitable the last few weeks and I really dont want to expose a young birds early birdhood to all of that while I try and find a new job, and/maybe/or move.

I will try again after things have calmed down.

Ive waited 8 years, whats a few more?

Though I do have 2 two year old cats who will have to make the move with me. They arent like my snakes who I can just put into their travel bags at the last second and put in their special tote (they have more mileage then both my cats combined). I hate the Idea of turning my animals world upside down while I take them with me, but I think it would be worse on a bird.

But.. If I do end up homeless, at least I know they will survive wherever we end up. I know a bird will not.

Very wise. My good friend is facing having to find a home for his two wonderful CAGS. He has no job and soon no home. He is a member here on the forum. It is a very sad sad situation.

unless he lives someplace warm, theres no way the birds will survive living outside. In alaska I even have trouble keeping chickens geese and ducks alive in the winter, chances would be zip if I had a parrot. I am a vary firm believer that pets are for life, so my cats and snakes are coming with me, Ill use my last 300 for a plane ticket home If things really do go south and live in my cabin until I can get a job and move back to the city.
