No Collar for

He looks like a clown again...

Oh well he lasted quite awhile!

Aw, man! But good run, Folger! Next time you can go for a full week!

Did he pluck much, Victoria?

Not the plucking that got him collared again:( He did pretty well for a little while but this was last night.

I am so proud of Folger anyway. That was a big accomplishment this time! I know he is thriving and doing better in your care than he would anywhere else. You're an awesome parront Victoria! :D

Nahh, Folger, sorry to hear this. But he did hold out for a while this time. Maybe next time will last even longer.

Poor guy. But he did so well! These behaviors just get so ingrained. They're hard to shake.

Thanks:D

Though he didn't really fly when he first came home he can now, as in the last few days, fly up stairs and around bends... catching him just got much more difficult:rolleyes: Playing the game of catching the freaked out cockatoo (his standard state) has given him much more stamina and strength then he originally had a year ago. My green cheeks have also figured this stair bend trick out though they don't do it that often at least!

He has calmed somewhat at least he can now sit in the middle of the room without flying every too seconds to a stand with a wall at his back. He will also let me change water/food bowls on stands now without being too freaked about it.

Oh mentioning gccs I thought I was going to strangle Monster last night. He has gotten really stuck up lately and I came within an inch of cutting his flights off. He bit me and then flew/lunged at my face....then ran like a chicken bird the next ten minutes. I actually got the scissors out, set them down, and told him this was his last chance or he got clipped. Seems he remembered what they mean and became much more agreeable. I believe he needs more out time just one on one without Monkey around he has gotten such a male attitude plus I think he is still sulking about me changing his cage...not that he ever used anything in it:rolleyes:

What an accomplishment for Folger and for you! This was such amazing progress, and I think he will last longer next time as well. It literally brings tears to my eyes to see how Folger has blossomed since he chose you.
