Nike's first camping trip

Well, we just completed the first full day with Nike camping (We also have our dog Corbin and one of our cats, Fat Cat, who I have to give subcutaneous fluids to which is why she's along).

Anyway Nike has been great. She talked and made sounds for 3 hours, the entire way up here yesterday. I got her situated in the camper and the took her for a Pak-O-Bird walk which went off fine.

Today she spent 4 or 5 hours with us outside sitting in her cage in a screened in EZ-Up. She decided to tak a bath in the small cup in the Poquito cage....kinda prehistoric looking I think.

We then took a walk with Corbin and Nike in the Pak. At one point a loose black lab pup came up to Corbin and he was followed by his owner. As the two were walking away Nike blurted out "What are you doin?"

Another laid back day but HOT!! mid 90's. Two walks with her. My dog Corbin was not feeling like the center of attention that he normally is so while we were out for a DQ cherry dip we stopped in a fancy pet store and got him a cookie.

And of course one of Nike.

A bit too cool think for a walk with Nike so we're just hanging out in the camper waiting for he sun....a far cry from yesterday's scorcher.

By the way I'm wearing my flannel "poop shirt" which also serves to protect my neck from painful pinches. She's gentil on my ears but sees every mark on my shoulder and neck as food.

Sunny and in the 80's today so Nike got to go on two walks. I also left her in the Pak outside on the picnic table under our Ez-uo for a couple of hours. She was quite content and preened most of the time.

Nice that Nike is enjoying the vacation so much... those carriers seem to be a great idea as they get all the benefits of the fresh air with the feeling of the security of being camoflauged...way better than the travel cage I carry Mr Biggles and Peter Pan in outdoors. She's home and was driving me crazy with her squawking...so early to bed for her. I'm sure she needs it since she didnt have much privacy for sleeping the past 5 days.
