Is it OK to let my caique sleep in his kennel at nightbut stay in a normal cage in the daytime when I'm not around. I read somewhere that someone had multiple cage for daytime outside time and sleep time for their parrot so that they don't get cage aggressive. Leo came home with me yesterday and he just seem more quiet in his kennel but when I put him in his cage he climbs all over and bite at the bar trying to get out. I like that he likes his kennel that way if I go somewhere and need to take him then he's ok. But just not sure if it's ok for him to sleep in his kennel at night

my mother has a sleep cage for her eckkie in her bedroom where he only goes to sleep, some birds need more uninterrupted sleep ,he's one of them ,around 7 pm he begins to scream for hes sleeping cage:p

Sounds like your new caique is used to the kennel, but not quite satisfied with the new one...often the only take a short time to get used to a new cage, while others may or may not accept it.....if he's comfortable with the cage he came with & you're satisfied with it, what's the need for another cage?

Good luck.....
