U2 - Francis "Francie"
Hey, all, I'm thinking of getting Francie a night cage. My hubby and I get up pretty early in the morning, and I think it disturbs his sleep, since his main cage is in the kitchen. A night cage that we could put in the livingroom would resolve that easily.

So what size should it be? Francie is just an average sized male U2. Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

A night cage for sleeping need not be overly large. Big enough to stretch wings and sufficient for turning in various directions should suffice. Part of the challenge with a smallish cage is to have sufficiently large bars, as a U2 is capable of easily bending sub-size metal.

You will still want it to be large enough that he could flap without slamming his wings into things (in the event that he is disturbed/startled by a sound in the night).
