Hi Everyone!
My name is Crystal and I have 2 Parrots.
Keegan - Our Hahns Macaw who we raised from a little egg (well, my friend did and I just visited.) He is now 6yrs old and a real cuddlebug.
Tesla - Our CAG who is 9yrs old and a rehomed bird. We are his 2nd home. He is cage bound and pretty much hates me.
We've had him for 2 yrs. He will target and take certain foods from me but that's about it. He does talk up a storm though.
We are looking into getting a third parrot now....one who will let us handle him and wants to play etc....
We have narrowed it down to ....
ILLIGER MACAW (My friend raises these)
YELLOW-NECKED MACAW (She also has these)
CERTAIN AMAZONS
CAPE PARROT (probably out of my price range but my FAVORITE of the bunch.)
There may be others that I would like but not sure yet, and I may even find a wonderful rehomed parrot....so time will tell!
I am a married and we have 2 daughters who have moved out now.....so we have a BIRD ROOM finally! It's also the guest room if anyone needs to stay over.
I am a pet stylist during the day and a free lance photographer on the side.
Hubby works for the cable company.
We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and the 2 parrots not to forget to mention our 4 outdoor chickens.
