New toys, cute fids

I made a couple of new toys for my cockatiel, Sweet Pea. When I put them in her cage, there was a little confusion over what belonged to whom.



Sammy was very helpful. He chose a perch for Sweet Pea's new toy and insisted on trying it out. I think he tried to crow.



Pssst, Harry could ya' lend me a foot here? I need to get this to my room before Sweet Pea sees it.



Ummm, No! Have you noticed, I have my own problems. Look who's perched on my hut! Looks like she owns the place.





Maybe we could work something out! You evict the cockatiel, I'll take the toy to your place.



Nah, Thanks anyway! I'll hang out here for a while!

I think it's time to retire the hut from Harry's cage. Sammy has hut envy so every day he waits for the opportunity to sneak into Harry's open cage and hide out in Harry's hut. He makes an absolute fool of himself, giggling and battling with the doorbell and kicking her blankie out the door. Sammy can't have the hut in his own room, he indiscriminately poops all over everything. I think I'll put the hut on a table in the common play area for easier cleaning.

I've been cheating lately and ordering new toys for everyone.

Thank you, Blanca. Sorry for the delay in responding. I did make the hut for Harry. She never really liked it. It's in the common area for the smaller flock members to use. Sammy and Sweet Pea love playing in it.

I think they are, Julie! Sammy and Sweet Pea are playing together more often, his attitude toward her has improved enough that I think she feels safe enough to hang out with him.
