Rest in Peace Rio
I saved empty tubes of rolled cardboard after wrapping Christmas presents. I knew I could figure out something to make. Add a few beads and River has a new toy.

Love it!! I made something like that out of cardboard and neitherr bird touched it.

Cute little GCC story I salvaged a wide and firm cardboard roll for Cricket to play in. I put little treats in it along the way. When he got inside he started making conure noises. It sounded like he was underground in a pipe. It was so so cute.

I bet Rowdy would like that. Pete would probably go through it in 30 seconds though, lol! Very good idea on your part.

That's so cute! When River has his head down in his bowl and is making his little happy sounds it makes a funny echo kind of sound lol.

At least even if it was destroyed quickly, it only costs pennies to make! :)

Very true, very true! I'd have to use wood beads though as I initially gave Pete a plastic toy with rings that his former owner gave me. Once he decided to chew it, he ripped a ton of plastic off and I kind of freaked out that he may have eaten some of it. I don't think he did but I don't want to give him plastic anymore. Anyone else have an opinion on that with an amazon? I suppose he could just as easily eat the wood splinters he gnaws off as well, but I have some idea wood is a natural thing birds chew on. Rowdy does fine with plastic beads and what not on her toys. She doesn't actually chew on them; more like spins them around.
