Oh, his feathers are in appalling condition. The photo just doesn't show it. Someone did a butcher job clipping him and then he uses his foot to stroke his own feathers and they're all ragged at the ends. His crest is missing a couple of feathers so he has a big gap in it. I took the picture from an angle that would show him at his best.
