Good morning!!

I recently stumbled on this site! What a wealth of knowledge and experience on here.

I have a 13 year old CAG named Chico. Bet you couldn’t guess from the site name. He was an adoption/rescue after his previous owner passed away. He has a couple furry siblings but no other feather friends in his aviary. This little man is quite spoiled and boy does he talk up a storm. Chico has really channeled his inner feline recently and walks around the house meowing. **i don’t have a cat**

Im looking to adopt/rescue another feathered friend so if anyone up in the New England area knows of a feathered friend in need of a home let me know!!

Welcome to the forums, congrats on your adoption of Chico!

Is Chico relatively new to your home? While it is common to seek multiple birds, please note greys are very sensitive to change. Acquiring additional birds is best done for your desire to provide a great home, and less for "companionship" of an existing bird. One never knows whether they will bond or become eternal rivals.

Very good point! He is not new to the home and has been a single bird since day one. They will not be housed together, but that raises another question of spending time together. It’s somethjng I’ll have to think more about!

Welcome! Lots of great people and info here.... look forward to hearing more from you :)

In that case, your expectations are very reasonable and understandable. Many of us have multiple birds and enjoy them separately. It is possible a newcomer will be accepted and possibly bond with Chico.

I am so glad that you're here, and very, very glad you're sharing your darling with us. Your darling *IS* darling!
