new to breading lovebirds

Hi All hopefully someone can help me i have a pair of ficher love birds and they are nesting i have had the sexed and i have a pair the female has been on the nest now for two months and is laying eggs today i looked and there are 11
can any give some advice on what to look for and do

I would imagine it would be difficult to "bread" lovebirds as they might not stay still long enough in the flour or eggs! ;)


In all seriousness, are your lovebirds on a healthy diet? Are they both mentally and physically mature? Does the hen get daily exercise?

Do you have an avian vet and/or breeder on hand who could help you out in case of emergencies?
 
11 eggs? From one cluth that's impossible unless you have two females. If it's from two clutches you should have removed the old eggs.

Although two hens is possible - it's also possible that some hens don't have an "off" switch until they have a large number of eggs... seen this with a budgie pair... definitely male and female.
