New time bird owner here! Advice please!

[Rockatiel]

I recently got a beautiful Lutino Cockatiel from a breeder hand raised, and I've had her for four days now. She's lovely and I love her so much!!!

Her name is Marigold. And Mari for short.
She seems to enjoy chirping at me, preening me, and she is no longer any bit aggressive (first day I was so nervous having her I think I projected that a little bit). She beak grinds and seems to enjoy sitting on my shoulder and sleeping in my hood. And for some reason has a distinct aversion to expelling waste materials onto me (my mother is amazed by this fact).
I was wondering if it seems like she's bonding to me or not. This might be a silly question.
She is becoming a bit of a Velcro bird, she didn't want to let me go to the bathroom earlier.
I think my question might of been a silly question.

There are three of us who recently got baby tiels and they seem to be cut from the same piece of velcro . Sounds like yours is too, haha. I've spoiled mine a bit to the point where he starts to screech a bit whenever I stand up, and if I leave the room without him he gives his best loudest screech! Fortunately his loudest isn't all that loud.

It sounds like you have a real sweetheart. Some birds are more particular where they poop than others, it's very polite of Marigold to not poop on her new friend. She would probably be easy to potty train.

Mari certainly is a pretty girl . Like Wade mentioned,he,and I,and Tropical are new 'tiel parronts. My BB I picked up 4/20 he was 14 weeks old. I "mostly" got him as a companion for Amy,my blue front 'zon.
She adores the little guy,always joining him on his roof top,helping herself to his nummys.

He wants to be a Velcro bird, I am starting to discourage that a little,but he does play well on his own. He has the "wolf whistle" down pat already,and I can hear parts of the andy Griffith theme song clearly. Loves skritches and cuddles and very finger tame.. You're gonna love your little girl lol.

As I'm a bit of an artist, she's becoming a favourite to draw over the past 4 days.

Thank you for all the input guys. I left the house earlier today to go out ice-skating for a few hours, when I came back she was so happy for see me again. Cue around about 10 minutes of her chirping at me and being all excited.

I didn't mention her age earlier, but she's currently 6 weeks and a half, so still extremely young. She goes all puffy cheeks when I sing to her, doesn't seem to react much to things through the computer.

I've got to check out all your beautiful birds as well!!!

I don't mean to go off topic, my bad.. but we have another thing in common. I also, mostly got this new tiel as a companion for Rascal as he is beyond MISERABLE alone.... I would have LOVED to get a GCC but I was too worried GCC might injure my tiel. However I have fallen madly in love with this new tiel LOL... and has made me forget about getting a GCC... one day in distant future I will get a GCC... but for now it is all good

... ok back on topic... I'm eager to hear/see more about Marigold as she adjusts to her new home... I do really love her name Marigold
