Hey I just read about the coloration of Charlie, did you know his coloring was more rare?

Yeah sometimes SI males get that ring but it disappears within the first molt or two. His ring was almost completely gone before he got out, but where Oliver has kind of an electric blue under tone to his body feathers like what is on the tops of their wings Charlie had a kind of red under tone. He was a really beautiful boy, still miss him like crazy. It's hard having Oliver in the house, we mess up and call him Charlie sometimes. We should have waited longer, but I didnt want to leave Oliver with that lady he's so thin and he was plucking under his wings and on his legs. I not sure if he still is or not but he doesn't seem to be.

Bad diet would do that....good thing you got him!!! I do hope he can heal your open wound. Its not easy I know...
