new pearch and a wood ladder

well where going slow but i did buy a few things at the pet store yesterday a dowl ladder made from the same kind of wood as her perchers wore and then a branch to replace her dowl pearches.....i did that because ladyhawk was constently lilfting one foot and stand on wood then changing which food she had on the pearch so i figured well maybe the round pearches wore hurting her feet other wise i would have just put the ladder in and nothing else....well she spent the rest of the day yesterday just standing on the ladder....this morning she has been moving around in her cage but she is avoiding the branch so .... she peaked at it with her beak a few minutes ago so ill just wait and see how she does on the up side the ladder helps her reach the toy she had at the pet store easer so i dont think shes terrfied of the branch as she playing with toy ill wait a day or two and she countues to basically avoid the branch i'll take it out and try an apple tree branch come summer..... maybe this on is to big..although most of the branches are no bigger then the pearches wore huummm?

She is just wary of new things which is normal. Don't keep changing perches around or she will never get used to one. Take a photo of the branch perch she's avoiding so we can tell you if we see any obvious problems with it.

Keep in mind that when birds are relaxing they often stand on one leg.

thank you i'll take a picture of it and hopefuly of her...the tag said it was for parakets cocatials parrolets and parrots.... but iv learn not to take those things for gospial.... and yes my parakets and cacatials often stood on one foot but for some reason it dosnt seem to be the same....she seems more agatated shaking her feet and constantly lifting her feet up and putting them down could be just a trait of parrolets but i havent read anything like that like i said i wouldnt have put 2 new things in her cage except for the way she was constangly lifting her feet up and changig which foot i was on the purch....but shes not doing that with the ladder which is strange as its made round like the perches wore....huummm im finding it a bit more diffacult to read her so to speak then it was the parrakests and cokatials.... she is walking around the cage and eating so it s possable she just needs to get use to it....or she just might not like the looks of the thing i have noticed when shes mad at me she sits with her back to me....when shes happy she sits so she can look at me.... right now she is defently not happy with me lol she HATES any kind of change....which i understand competely as i dont like any kind of change in my life and enverment either lol so we should eventually be a good fit for each other lol
