New parrot owner here

[Crepusculum]

Hello, yesterday my girlfriend her daughter and I purchased our first parrot. She has some experience with parrots in her past, but this is my first bird ever. We don't know if it is a male or female but we just use he. He is an Amazon and it very nice albeit a bit timid and grumpy. He is about 1 year old and was hand raised by our locally owned exotic pet store. Here are some pictures.

He seems to be a great parrot. We went with the intent to get a Meyers parrot because most of what we researched pointed to the Meyers being a nice quiet and friendly bird. The one they had was very nippy and rather aggressive. After seeing his behavior we decided not to get the Meyers and then the lady was talking about the Amazon and how wonderfully nice he has been since they raised him, so even though the cost was almost double there was no doubt that the Amazon was the right bird for us.

Congrats on your new family member, he is a real beauty. There is just something about Amazon's that just screams PARROT isn't there? Is it a Blue front Amazon?

Orange Wing? I have a blue front, and he looks a little different from these pics.

Your right, I checked and from what I can tell it does appear to be an Orange wing.

We haven't named him yet. We are still working on that!

Speaking of motorcycles my boyfriend has a RC 51 1000 (I think thats right). And an SV 1000. And that is all my knowledge when it comes to bikes. lol
