Hello,
We have had Jess for a little over a week. 2 questions to you learned folk if I may.
1. Is it ok to leave her seed in at night - the vet said to take it out but she seemed to not like that idea - seemed to become more nippy
2. She is tending to bite the kids and less so my wife. She seems to
Like me a lot. I am trying to keep socializing her but at the same time I want her to like everyone, especially the kids. They are trying really hard to get along with her but when she bites it can hurt which makes them less confident.

I'm not familiar with Hahns, but as for the food, I leave all my dry foods in overnight. The only food I remove after a few hours is the cooked food to prevent spoilage. :)

If Jess has only been with you for 2 weeks, I'd say he may need a whole lot more time to make himself comfortable and feel at home. Have your kids offer him treats through the bars.

Perhaps the best way for interaction is AWAY from his cage, maybe on a table top T-stand? Just an idea. :)
