Hello all! My name is scott, im from new jersey, have a wife, a son and a dog. Oh and now a green cheek conure! Just picked up our little guy/girl about 4 days ago. My sons absolutely in love with it! Cant say me and mom arnt either lol. He/shes starting to come around, i have alot of animal experience, so training/bonding isnt a problem. The lady at petco told us he wasnt handled much since they got him. He/she still test bites a little but never draws blood. Itll take food from out hands and allows us to pet it outside of its cage. Its learned to step up on a extra dowle perch we have, still working on stepping up on to my finger. But so far so good! Im excited to keep working with our new family member amd look forward to learning new things from you all!

Welcome to the form! Congrats on your GC. Sounds like he/she is settling in well.

Welcome to the forum!!!

Do you have photo bucket app??? If not, download it and upload pictures onto there. Go into the app and click on the picture you want to post, copy the direct link. Come in here, on your reply window or post window, there's a small little picture icon, paste your link within. Then click post, viola, it should just pop up. :)

Well thanks guys!! Lets see if this link works.

Rupert is very handsome! The second pic he really has that "male" look (to me) :) the wider head.
Good to get him vet checked too, by an avian vet. There, if you want, you can get them to do a simple blood test - in a week you'll know for sure male or female! Welcome to the forum.

Thanks! :-) yea i just started searching for a good avian vet in my area. Hes in need of a little pedicure anyway lol how much does the dna sexing usually run?
