Nansun / Roseifrons conure / Parakeet / Stella lorikeet
Hello everyone! I’m new to the Forums and I currently reside in Utah. I bought my first bird about 4 years ago and after a tragic accident with my green cheek conure I currently have these 4 lovely feathered friends.

I have a wonderful not even 1 year old Roseifrons conure named Zarza. He is my fire cracker of the group, very playful and outgoing and also a little rascal when he wants to be.

Hamlet is my not even 1 year old Nansun conure. I was torn between him and the roseifrons and went with the roseifrons because this guy reminded me too much of my other bird. About a week later I felt guilty and decided I needed him only to find that someone else had bought him and was trying to flip him on local classifieds. It took my 2 months to track him down but ended up finding him and bringing him home in the end. Him and my roseifrons conure are like soulmates in a sense. They can’t be apart for long or they call to each other. They are always cuddled together even when they hang out with me.

My Parakeet cloud Is 4 years old and was a 2 year old loner in petco when I got her. She was off to herself and since no one wanted her petco let her go to me. She has been an amazing bird that has learned so many fun sayings and tricks.

Last is my newly adopted 2 yo Stella lorikeet. This little bugger is named Toki is and testing me everyday as a bird owner. He is VERY much all about needing him time and when he wants to socialize he will. I’m adjusting to him just as much as he is adjusting to me. He hasn’t been easy by any means but thankfully this forum is here!

All my birds are flighted and able to fly around to multiple areas of the house with huge tree stands and occasionally landing on my head lol. Anyways, here is my flock!

A hearty welcome to you and your gorgeous flock!
I'm so sorry for the loss of your Green Cheek:(

I'm so glad you were able to track down Hamlet so he could join your feathered family, and be a best buddy to Zarza. That pic of them cuddling is absolutely precious.
Cloud is beautiful, I can't believe no one wanted her! She must have been meant to be with you:)

I have never seen a Stella Lorikeet before, and seeing Toki took my breath away. What a stunning bird!

We do love pics here so please keep them coming! I'm so happy you joined us:)

Yes, Hamlet and Zarza are def best buddies who love each other. Trying to make sure they were separated for 30 days was fun but once the 30 days were up they aren’t without each other except for sleeping.

My green cheek was truly my heart bird and losing him was absolutely heart breaking but also taught me all the risks of flighted birds in a home and to make sure they are locked up at night. Here is Crayola, my best buddy and my personal best bird friend. I will never forget him.

Crayola was so beautiful, and your love for each other is obvious. I also lost my Heart bird, and I know how much that hurts.
We also have a Remembrance Forum as well as one for Bereavement if you would like to share memories about Crayola there.
I am again truly sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you brought these other birds into your life. I think there is no greater tribute to the ones we've lost than to bring others in to love and care for.

Welcome to the flock! I am obsessed with your four feathered friends! I can totally empathize with your experience with Toki. It took some time and work with my GCC Maddox but now were the best of buds. Please reach out if you have any questions!

What an assortment of beautiful birds!

You know, “Toki” is not so different from “Bela”. Two syllables and all. Or Vlad, Carmilla, Stanislaus, Casimir, Melmoth…
(All famous vampire or east European names).

Oh well. I hope Toki drinks fruit juice.

Your birds are all beautiful and your lorikeet, in particular, is very striking. at first I thought he was a Dracula parrot but he is prettier/ more elegant. Your rosiefrons conure is also a lovely companion and contrast to your greencheek.

A gorgeous flock!

OMG, melanistic Stella's lorikeet!

Sorry, I'm obsessed with lorikeets ;) Of course all your fids are cute :) Welcome to the forums :)

I thought you were going for a Castlevania theme for a second , if you watch that show!

He has been an absolute handful so far which is how I found this forum because I was looking for guidance. Trying to correct habits formed after 2 years is never fun but we are learning together!

Pretty much!

(Although some of those names are names from my family as well. Kinda embarrassing; I make a great vampire at Halloween and I guess that’s why.)
