Hello, I'm new here , but have owned parrots for about 25 years .... initially adopted a baby B&G Macaw , "Tica" , who shared our home for 19 years, unfortunately was taken from us by cancer about 4.5 years ago ... about 2.5 years before losing Tica, a friend of mine passed away unexpectedly, and he had adopted a Scarlet Macaw about 4 months before his untimely passing, at 39 years of age ... His girlfriend was aware that we already owned a Macaw, so she asked us to try to find a home for "Jessica" .... that was nearly 7 years ago, so I guess she found a home ..... And Rio needed a home about 3 years ago, due to a family relocating , so that's our story ! Jessica is definitely my bird , and is quite aggressive towards my wife .... Rio is good with everyone !
I'm looking forward to interacting here on the forum with other bird people !
