New member and Oscar the parrot

Hi All
Glad to be a member of the forum an hope to gain lots of advice and information for you all.
I have beautiful 3 year old Orange Winged Amazon Parrot called Oscar which i got from a pet shop when no one wanted him. We have so much fun together and I cant wait to receive all my training DVDs and CDS from Chet so I can start teaching him new things.

Hi. Welcome. I am sure you will learn lots hear. I have. I tried those nird tricks dvds once. Maybe you will have better luck than I will. I sent them back they were not helpful to me. It is manly focused around bigger birds. I hope you have fun on the forum and learn lots from the dvds.

Hello welcome, and congrats to you and your Fid!
I'm pretty new here myself, and just today I saw some posts about this "chet" and his "shake" method. I now will have to do some research on this guy since I've never heard of him, not that I would use the shake method ever when dealing with a nippy bird, just have to see what his dvd's and such are about!

Welcome to the forum. I am also not a fan of Chet...but must honestly admit that I have never seen a video from him. I have seen some utube, but mostly just in hearing some of his theories and methods, I am a bit concerned by his philosophy. He does get results, I understand, but I am naturally resistant to a one size fits most all approach.
