A sun does make a good pet but you have to keep in mind that they are conures and therefor they sometimes can get a bit loud especially if they consider something/someone an intruder, as ErichT has mentioned. I used to have a pair and if there was some reason to warn us humans about something they were a better warning system than the pack of dogs.
Having said that they are incredibly colourful and adorable and some are natural clowns.
