Blue and gold macaw paired with a green winged macaw
Hello everyone my name is Anthony and I just bought a proven pair of Macaws. The male is a blue and gold and the female is a green wing. This would be officially my first birds. I know that is a really big step for me.The setup is a big cage with an optional divder for the birds. We were told that we should keep the divider in until they get to know us better. From the research that I have been doing it seems like I have lots of work on my hands with these birds. The setup is at my girlfriends house due to her mom staying home and attending to them all day. We also have a stand that is setup in the living room by the window. I personally want to do anything and everything I can to make these birds happy, they are such beautiful and intelligent birds. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

hey anthony, welcome to the forum. What does "proven pair" mean? I've never seen a divider in a cage ,why is it necessary ? Are these pets or are you planning on breeding them ? Can you handle them ? We love pics and videos. Lots of good info here about your new birds. Hope to see you around.

I have one. It's just a double macaw cage where the center divider slides out to form one GINORMOUS macaw cage for those so inclined.

By proven pair, I would assume these are breeder birds, and may not be pet quality. They might not be tame. As in AT ALL...
