Hi all,
My name is Jay. I'm new to the site just wanted to introduce myself. I'm turning 30 next month and my wife has agreed to me having a green cheek conure. I'm doing some research to make my new friend comfortable and make my home as bird safe as possible. I wanted to join a community of bird enthusiasts to help me be the best bird dad I can.
My family and I basically on a petting zoo lol. We have a sulcata tortoise, a red eared slider, an assortment of toads, fish, and a cali Kingsnake... that's the inside pets. Outside we have three rabbits, 5 chickens, two dogs, and 3 cats.
I have two daughters that are just enthusiastic about animals as myself. My wife is great. We have a crazy, somewhat strange life, and I love it!!

Thank everyone for the warm welcomes! I hope I don't ask to many parrot safety questions. If anyone knows of some bird safe mosquito spray, such as skin so soft, I can appy to my girls and myself that would be extremely helpful. If there is such a thing I would like to stock up before getting the bird.
