African greays are great birds as well thats the type of bird my hubby wants and the bonding with lucky is going fabulous... lucky was supposed to be my hubbys bird but he picked me to be his hooman and i love him so much for that because when we first got him the fist 2 months he wanted nothing to do with me unless it was to scrwam and yell at me or to bite me lol now he no longer bites me and of course he still screams somtimes lol

Thanks for the pics, he sure is a pretty bird. Seems he is bonding to you very well and enjoying his outdoor adventures.

Just want to suggest using extreme caution when outside. I too live in the San Diego area and am aware of so many raptors. While a B&G is a big bird, they are no match for the various hawks and eagles that circle our skies. Be safe!!

The pet store was telling me someone had lost their parrot because it went out the dog door after the pups. Almost two weeks and over 10 miles away he was found in a tree and a concerned citizen called the pet store and told them. The owner of the store ended up going up the tree and retrieving the parrot. Pretty lucky I would say I'm in Vermont, and we are having un-seasonably warm weather. But my sister is over by the San Diego area.Such a beautiful bird you have there I love how adventerous you are, not sure how long it will be before I would take my bird outside but it will have to wait till summer time anyway. Thank you for sharing
