Such a cute video. They are HUGE parrots and very beautiful! Was that more of a love tap instead of a bite? LOL. I had an Illiger's macaw that use to peck me and with him hitting that hard black beak against my knuckles use to hurt. He liked the hollow sound hitting my hand with his beak made so he would knock on the back of my hand hitting my knuckles in quick succession then suddenly ..... bloop....a wad of regurgies would appear. I don't want to think how....large..GW's birdie butters are.

All I can manage to say when Valentino grabs me too hard it OWWWWW! LOL. He has a very powerful beak but it is that tiny grab is skin with the very tip of his beak that hurts the most and leaves bruising.

You guys broke out the video camera today I love see 2 birds being able to be out near each other. They were so taken by the camera [you could tell by them looking at it.] Do they "shuffle " to music . I wouldnt call that a bite [ when mine mine does that shes just being bratty it doesnt hurt.]

Funny you mention that Wendy. That would be an excellent way to demonstrate to others the signs of aggression in birds. I knew she was in a mood just by her actions, and I was actually telling Deb about it when she was filming it. (not sure if you could hear me) Those birds know I ain't scared and I won't back down from them, ReaRea really ain't a problem but Miri can be quite a handful at times. As far as the "shuffle" Miri has done that for a long time, Deb calls it her "football shuffle" cause it reminds her of a linebacker.
