Hello everyone!
I recently adopted a baby Congo African grey. I'm new to this forum, however, I'm not new to birds. I spent about 15+ years of my life with parrots (budgies, cockatiels, a blue-fronted amazon, a moluccan cockatoo, greenwing macaw, and an African grey). About 7 years ago I went through some major life changes and sadly, had to find new homes for my parrot family.
I have really missed having birds in my life for the past few years. I'm happy to finally be in a better place where I am able to I provide a good home for a bird and I decided on another grey. I went to a local breeder and they had two 12 week old baby greys. It was an easy choice between the two. One of them was very standoffish and the other very friendly and cuddly. It took about a week to pick a name that my husband and I both loved. We decided on Elliott. My avatar is a picture of him when he was with the breeder. He somehow put the cup on his own head. How cute is that??!!
We also share our lives with a 13 year old blind and deaf diabetic pug named Sophie and two ragdoll cats – Oliver and Zachary.
Looking forward to chatting about birds with you all!
