Female Senegal named Gizmo
Male GCC named Chewy
I've just added a 2 month old GCC to the family... I am so in love with this little bird! S/he has been here for 3 days and I've lost count of all the kisses and cuddles. S/he falls asleep on my chest or in my hand.... Just now s/he was lying flat on his/her back, chewing on his/her toes while I chatted on the phone. Who knew a bird could be so incredibly loveable? Are all GCC's like this???? Sorry for all the "s/he and his/her" stuff... Getting the little one sexed on the 10th!

Congratulations! I have no GCC experience so can be no help with that, but I did notice you said you are having it sexed on the 10th. Are having it surgically sexed? Or DNA sexed?

Hi Amanda, DNA sexed :) My sennie who I thought was a boy, turned out to be a girl so thought it best not to rely on my instincts with Chewy! Haha!

What a cutie! :D
I don't know if all are, but it seems like most are. Kiwiberry still doesn't go on her back, but she'll hang upside down on toys in her cage. :)

Congratulations! What a little sweetheart you have there!

That is one ADORABLE GCC!!!

Congrats on the new featherball! I got a GCC 2 months ago and he is my pride and joy. Mine doesn't lay on his back voluntarily though, you got lucky with that one!
If you share your living area with other people, make sure they give little Chewy lots of attention and treats.
I didn't and mine is very aggressive towards anyone but me and my sister who held him the first day I brought him home.
Enjoy your sweetie! (S)he'll likely be showing some sass before the first week's over :p

Has (s)he said anything yet?

Hi Roanoke, my hubby interacts with Chewy as well but s/he is definitely "mommy's baby" and I'm loving it :-D No talking yet, just loads of happy chirps, much complaining when I'm out of sight and a cute sound like s/he's laughing.
