- Umbrella Cockatoo named Boomer and an African Grey named Casey
I have 2 birds - an 18 year old Umbrella Cockatoo named Boomer and a 20 year old African Grey named Casey. Both birds share an office with me as I work from home. My husband and I have 3 grown children (2 girls, 1 boy) and 3 grandchildren (all boys). We live on a farm about an hour north of Indianapolis. I work in the IT field while my husband works for the Federal Government.
Both birds have a sense of humor - and can mimic voices rather well. I will be on a conference call and I have to keep my phone muted unless it is my turn to speak as they will interject things into the conversation. Makes for some pretty funny conference calls and my job so much more enjoyable. Especially when I have it on mute and am trying to listen to the conversation on the phone as well as keep up with the two birds.
