I have my own house but my living room is very small, with 5 parrots my living room was even smaller! So I purchased the A&E double stack cage and put it together yesterday. I'm very pleased with how large the space is for each bird, I LOVE the food/water doors on the front of the cage (all my others are on the sides). The playtop is nice.

My only complaint is the wooden dowel perches. I will be replacing those with natural hardwood perches.

The top is for my Sun Conure and the bottom is for my Quaker.

Here's a picture

Nice cage! Great space saver! :D

Looks like a good cage! I was considering a similar cage myself! :D

I wish I could find one that would work for my Amazon and TAG. Nether use their whole cage and spend more time out then in. A shorter but wider cage would be great!

I know this is an older post but can you tell me if you can eliminate the play top and leave the grate for more light or will that leave a gap since you removed the tray? thanks!

Based on the image, you can remove the tray and still have the playstand. Heck, you could even replace it with acrylic sheeting or glass instead! The "base" of the playstand can't be removed, but it looks like you might be able to remove the playstand itself... from the ladders up. that is, if they are not welded onto the frame. I would imagine that they aren't.
